What to expect from a AcuneedlingTM session with Amy?

Each session is 60 mins, this allows enough time for you to discuss your concerns with Amy, or update how you are feeling from last session.

Sessions are available in your own home, or at the Cowes clinic, on the picturesque Phillip Island.

The session is quiet or with low music, dim lighting and you should feel very comfortable throughout. Amy may offer you a lying down, or reclining position, and will move around you wherever you feel most comfortable.

If you have not had acupuncture previously, let Amy know! The needles used are thin, short, and inserted into specific points on the skin surface. It should be comfortable on insertion and removal.

Your experience is most important, and ensures session is most effective.

Gentle Settling and Sleep Support

Finding sleep 'advice' not working?

Does settling your baby feel exhausting?

Does leaving your baby to 'self-soothe' not feel right for your family?

Coastal Midwifery and Lactation offers support that is not your average sleep program!

Amy has a unique approach to early parenting support, gentle sleep and settling advice based on the latest evidence, as per The Neuroprotective Development Institute (formerly Possums).

Amy's approach is based on normalising infant behaviour, increasing connection with your baby, reviewing and supporting your own goals and finding a plan of support, that aligns with your values and beliefs as a family.

The NDC approach is based on sensory nourishment, working with your baby's natural state of sleep, specific sleep needs, and enhancing the rhythms and activity of your family.

This approach is individual to your baby, and considers family movements, baby's temperament, feeding.

Amy is trained and accredited with The NDC Institute, you can find more information here
